Dwarf hamster limping?
About 2 months ago, I heard my 2 chinese dwarfs (females) fighting. I then heard it again.
For about 3 weeks to a month, I didn't hear them again. I then caught a red dot on the right leg of one of them. I decided to check upon them once every few days.
She had a dark bruise one time. Next, on one area it was purple and hairless.
Now she is limping. I am worried that she has been limping for a long time because I've just been on holiday for a week, so though she was looked after she wasn't taken out by the 'pet-sitters'. She could've started limping before. Or maybe it's got worse.
She is limping when she moves fast, it's black-purple-grey and there's no hair on the area on her back leg. However she gets around fairly well, but her 'fighting' sister is much faster. I haven't seen her on her flying saucer lately either.
What should I do? Do I go to the vets? Or will it repair itself?
i would separate my hamsters and put them in separate cages, I don't think taking the hamster to the vet would do much...and i have read in a book that hamsters are amazing healers and that they can take care of themselves... i wouldnt worry much
