Backyard and Gardening Supply

Did you ever drive through a neighborhood and say to yourself, "Boy would I like to live here"? What is it about the neighborhood that attracted you to it in the first place? Sure, from the outside the house itself may look nice. However, it is most likely the curb appeal that helped form your first impression. If that house were located in a neighborhood that wasn't well-maintained would you still dream of living there? Most likely you wouldn't.

My point is that your lawn is the most important part of your home's landscape. Your lawn ties it all together by connecting your yard with the surrounding features (sidewalks, streets and neighboring properties). Your lawn makes your home a friendly and inviting place. Well maintained lawns are an asset to your neighborhood, while a poorly maintained lawn has a negative impact on your neighborhood.

With all of the foreclosures today, there are many neighborhoods that are going to pots. With the economy in it's current state, there are many neighborhoods where there are multiple homes on a block that have been abandoned. Nobody is taking care of these properties. The lawns are overgrown and full of weeds. Homeowners continually look at this eyesore and think that even if my lawn is the nicest in the neighborhood, property values overall will go down even further than they already have gone down. The unkept, abandoned house next door affects the curb appeal of my home and the entire block. So the frustrated homeowner lets their yard go. This is a death spiral throughout the neighborhood. Well I am here to tell you that it is time to take control and take back our neighborhoods. Our fathers and grandfathers took pride in their lawns. Neighborhoods were all well-maintained. Homeowners had a sense of pride and appreciated what they owned.
